Frankly I don't even know. Intuitively I think statistics isn't a science but a heuristic at best but I know nothing about these two disciplines.
Oh my question wasn't regarding the blackpill, just psychology in general. I started thinking a couple of days ago and ended up doubting the validity of the claim that psychology and statistics are sciences, and all of the so called social sciences as well. My "friends" who studied social sciences in HS called me a retard but didn't really answer the question. It's a very important area of the humanities. The blackpill is hard science about evolutionary psychology and its social implications.
No its just where they give people abunch of meds to turn them into mindless slavesFrankly I don't even know. Intuitively I think statistics isn't a science but a heuristic at best but I know nothing about these two disciplines.
That is one of the reasons I don't think it's really a scienceNo its just where they give people abunch of meds to turn them into mindless slaves
Same the more you think about it the nore you realize the medical care field is bullshitThat is one of the reasons I don't think it's really a science
A lot of the things you study in medicine are models that aren't even verifiable and a lot of "knowledge" relies on these models that we can't be sure work for every case and it feels more like mystique than anything else, but I still take the meds when I'm sick cuz it seems to work.Same the more you think about it the nore you realize the medical care field is bullshit
Yes i agree i was kinda referring to all the therapy medication mental health side of that whole fieldA lot of the things you study in medicine are models that aren't even verifiable and a lot of "knowledge" relies on these models that we can't be sure work for every case and it feels more like mystique than anything else, but I still take the meds when I'm sick cuz it seems to work.
Psychology on the other hand, has done a lot of damage through the bad faith of the psychologists and psychiatrists and allat bullshit. A lot of research frauds are coming up and bad practices and I'm left wondering what even is the point. Before the political correctness epidemic, racism was considered scientific. I don't know whether that is the truth or not, but what is the point of "science" when it is so heavily controllable by politics and whatnot? Unverifiable claims are made and used as basis for weird ass theories all the time in these social "sciences" like ??? The major ones are feminism and lgtv nonsense of course.
In mathematics for instance, peer review means making sure that the logic of a paper is perfect, everything must be perfect. In these so called sciences, what is peer reviewing supposed to do? It's just glorified statistics mane. Is statistics a science? To me it isn't, there are some issues for instance the process of taking in data, processing it, and analyzing it, it's all polluted by the human researcher.
