Firstly I would like to clarify what "personality" means.
"Personality refers to a person's distinctive patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. It derives from a mix of innate dispositions and inclinations along with environmental factors and experiences. Although personality can change over a lifetime, one's core personality traits tend to remain relatively consistent during adulthood."
Modern psycuckhology defines "personality" in terms of five basic traits. The so-called Big Five are "openness to experience, conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. A newer model, called HEXACO, incorporates honesty-humility as a sixth key trait."

I will focus on the "extroversion" trait since it is the one that is most often weaponized by normies as the reason for inceldom:
"Just go outside bro"
"Just talk to women bro"
"Just put yourself out there bro"
...
Good looking babies and children are rewarded with attention and compliments, causing them to reciprocate the behavior and thus their "personality" is born.
If you are good looking, you naturally receive a lot of attention.
That need for attention and validation becomes a part of you.
Still, that does not mean every single attractive person is extroverted.
You can be attractive and genuinely an introvert, but the inverse is certainly not true.
If you are not physically attractive, you cannot behave like one simply because doing so requires you to have some sort of positive reinforcement which is incompatible with being unattractive. Your genetic/environmental background completely overwrites any personal beliefs or wishes that make up your personality. Your genetic/environmental background is your personality.
Example: A truecel behaving like a super extroverted Chad, being the "life of the party" type of guy. No one would ever truly believe in this act since this behavior is reserved for those who fit the requirement of having a positive feedback loop and therefore being attractive.
Now on the contrary, if Chad is behaving is a nerdy introverted way, no one would question his actions since being an introverted nerd does not require you to fit any social/looks norms.
In a way, one could argue that if the truecel "personality" is only a response to his environment it's no different than a computer's result to running a certain program and therefore personality (for truecels at least) is no more than a computer like response to one's "program".
If for the genetic and/or environmental low end (incels/truecels) personality is no more than a weighted sum of outside factors how can their "personality" be a "person's distinctive patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving" that derives from "innate dispositions"?
There is nothing innate about it, your personality is literally the equivalent of your genetic/environmental predisposition and therefore cannot be considered "real" in the sense that it does not depend on yourself.
The sad conclusion is that although for attractive/normal looking people personality exists as an independent factor, the same cannot be said for the lower end of scale, since it "personality" for unattractive people is no more than a reflection of their subhuman condition.
TLDR: The Chad gets to choose (consciously or not) his "personality", while the truecel has no other choice than to be "introverted".
