I think technically its because it was thought it would be cruel to cook an animal in the milk of it’s own mother. Imagine killing a baby cow, and then spraying the milk of its mother into the meat of its child. Pretty fucked. But as you know of all religions, people just make it into a ritual overtime and now it’s just dogmatism followed for everything.
