I am very nostalgic to the series, when I was 8 years old, my mom got me a copy of DA:O on the 360 after school for being so good with my grades, and this fucking game is my childhood. Many times over I have played through DA:O back then, each time progressively more like an evil bastard xd. I also had another copy but instead the collectors edition (adds just a couple items to wear I think, has another disc of dev bloopers and devs speaking about making the game, standard shit (I completely didnt understand what they were saying I mostly just watched the bloopers XD) and also for the 360 (reason I got that one as the first copy I got had a scratched disk and I remember SPECIFICALLY I couldnt get past the part in Haven where you have to patch up the guy Brother Ferdinand Gentivi I think his name is, up, it constantly crashed no matter what I did so I couldnt progress through the main story. This was also the time I fell for the toothpaste disc repair myth XDDDD). DA:II and DA:I also I loved very much (despite Inquisition leaning more heavily to the slop produced nowadays, it was at that era i think in the transition period, so it wasnt all that bad, solid story).
Anyways, I've long completed all the games in the series and played through all the DLCs and what not, have fairly good literacy of the lore blah blah. I've waited for Veilguard for quite some time, as I always wondered about what happens after the ending of the DA:I Trespasser dlc, as that was the campaign continuation and STILL left the ending ambiguous.
Now since its released, I think already been a year or two, I wonder if any fellowcels here have maybe played through it? Is it really that bad as people online claim it is? On steam it has horrible reviews, and the screenshots of the game I've seen it looks like a generic AAA slop ARPG (deviating from the tried and true RPG strategy nature of the series pff). Troons have really made their mark on the gaming industry and now every game is like this. But im willing to let it slide if maybe they didnt do the story so shit.
