Every second night I'm having a nightmare. Last few were about a war starting, me abusing my brother (for some reason), getting choked in my bed instead of getting up normally and even one about getting hacked on this forum and then having all my info available publicly. What I find weird is that I used to be really affected by nightmares, but nowadays they don't even phase me. I can experience getting choked in a realistic dream, wake up and go about my life normally without even a minute of thinking about it. Am I a TOUGH person?

I wake up, then the real nightmare begins

I almost never have dreams anymore

the few times I do, it's about some sort of mundane worry like being late for work

WTF!!!

I behave in my dreams as if the dreams are real. So a scary dream would scare the fuck out of me. Honestly it's cool how we can live certain scenarios without them being real. Is this the future of video games?

Lucid dreaming is already better than any VR

Are you having dreams every day as well? If so, then this is pretty aligned with my experiences as well – Although as of late I’ve been dreaming a little less, and forgetting the dreams I do have sooner.

It sounds like most of these are caused by external stimuli, the first being news feeds about wars and rumors of wars, the second I couldn’t comment on aside from the obvious subconscious feelings you may or may not have towards your brother, such as envy, and the third – What do you mean by being choked? As in you were choking on your own, or perhaps by the bed like the bedsheets wrapping around your throat, or someone else choking you on the bed?
And for the last, that’s definitely a sentiment that I imagine most people have about this site, including myself – Although one could easily just change that into fitting into anything about one’s most intimate and private thoughts and habits.
And as for yourself becoming less affected by your dreams, you may be simply becoming more numb and indifferent in general, as well as the fact that you are becoming desensitized in general to the nightmares you are having – Although if you’re really not that scared or affected, would it still be considered or properly classified as a nightmare?

And as for you being a “tough” person, I would merely describe this as more mental resiliency than anything else. Not to diminish or demean you or any of your experiences in any way, but I don’t think it’s quite the same as being unfazed in the sense of being hardened by life, but simply growing more distant and apart from it – But I could simply be projecting here and pulling from my own experiences instead of accurately describing what you’re experiencing.
If you’re interested, I think it might be helpful or simply fun to transcribe your dreams to the best of your recollection when you wake up, so you can reflect on what the dream could possibly mean or simply dissect the narrative within.
I don’t know if all dreams (or any) really have a “meaning” per se, in the sense of a grand plan, but I do think that they do hold some deeper inner truth from our subconscious about what we’re thinking and feeling and who we really are.
And if nothing else, it can be fun and interesting to simply look back on them and reexperience them as if they were a mini-movie being played within our heads, constructed from the fabrics of our own subconscious mind.

Although perhaps I’m completely off the mark and cuff here, and if so, I apologize. Maybe I’m making a mountain out of a mole hill, but I do find dreams personally interesting from my own experiences and on their own in general, which is why I wrote in this manner.

Some character which is just completely dark coming to my bed and choking me

I already do this to lucid dream

Do you sometimes see the dancing girls in your nightmares?

Only if I deliborately put them there in a lucid dream

Interesting. Could you make anything out of their silhouette or anything else from the dream?
I've experienced some violent dreams myself, and always (that I can remember), Iseen their face and body.

I see. I only brought it up because I've been doing it myself and found it to be helpful and simply interesting.
I started doing it last year in June, and it's just fascinating to look back on the dreams you've had and see how they compare and contrast and possibly relate to one another if at all.
I haven't been able to experience any lucid dreams recently, unfortunately, so I'll have to wait for that chance to finally get an opportunity to transcribe it and fully contextualize it in detail, and just save it in general.

Like everything else, one gets desensitized. If Freddie didn't get you by now, he never will.

It's always a human-like shape, but tall and buff. Not buff in a muscle sense, just wide

Sounds like a Chad-like figure. Tall and wide, meaning well-developed with big, dense, and strong bones.
Perhaps you're imagining a physically superior male specimen choking you out of a sense of superiority, disgust, hatred, or simply pure dominance and sadism - With you feeling either that it's deserved or warranted on some subconscious level.
Of course, this is merely conjecture on my part, and I really don't know, but I do find this whole dream thing interesting.

Are you lucid nightmaring

No, when I do get a lucid dream I always make it something positive. I guess I could deliborately give myself an awful nightmare just to see how scary it can get

I don't even think I can dream anymore I only have some vivid memories that pop up from time to time at random times in the day about some event that didn't happen and I think did that happen i renember that but it didn't happen why? So I believe I might be dreaming but I just don't remember them after a few minutes the only kind of "dreams" I remember clearly and I'm sure that it's not just random thoughs are when I go from day dreaming to sleep I can remember somethings I should write my dreams down

I have recently had one of those "memories" that was bad that could possibly have been a nightmare I had It was similar to your story about internet although in my case I believe that nothing was leaked and it was I think on discord where I was just being either insulted and hacked and me feeling stressed irl (on the dream)
