Is it nostalgia, or are YouTube ads getting worse

I do feel like a long time ago, YouTube had much less ads. The maximum ad length was 5 seconds, and there were no double ads. But now, there's so many 15 second ads, and almost every video has 2 ads before it.

Can any of you relate?

Yeah their getting alot worse, so its not just you. I get anywhere from 10 seconds to even 80 second long ads which is insanity.

It's certainly not just nostalgia. You can concretely identify alterations to the ad system: introduction of double ads, increased skip ad timer length, ads on pause (mobile), ad banners not going away after skipping (mobile).
