Serious Is it just me or are the majority of headphones mismatched?

I just bought a bunch of headphones from different brands to see which ones I like, all ranging from 150-200 euros. Brands such as Sennheiser, Bose, Audio-Technica and AKG. And my god people seem to have forgotten how to fucking match drivers these days, it can't be my hearing because the sound shifts from one side to the other when testing out the audio in monotone. I did find a pair that was perfectly balanced, but it still baffles me how we as people still cannot make shit that works nowadays, QA has seriously went downhill. it's over for audiophilecels

I haven't noticed any issues tbh, though I only buy one brand of headphones so maybe the brand I buy is not effected/fine.

I can twist the cord to shift the sounds to the left or right, but it will stay equal if the cord is in the central position. However, I’ve used these same headphones for years now.

Have you tried turning them around to see if the sounds shifts while playing a video that has centred audio?
