The experience I have playing TES is that I am a Christian in a pagan world having to deal with the "gods" (demons) of these people doing shit on earth.

I don't remember much of the lore but if I'm not mistaken the aedra used all their powers in creating the universe while the daedra were more selfish

I consider TES to be the most interesting medieval fantasy story, more than Lord of the Rings
At least at first glance because I didn't delve that much deeper like a falmer
