I gave it a proper go and I failed miserably, but there are some people here who never tried at all or only a few times. Isn't it better to try and fail, yes its painful but won't you have regret being mid 30s and never have tried at all when you had at least a slight chance?

I've cold approached 151 girls - not as many as some on here, but definitely more than the vast majority of guys my age (28).

Knowing that I've put in more effort than the vast majority of guys my age gives me a strange sense of contentment. I say strange, because it's tinged with the knowledge that it's not going to work - I've not managed to get a single date from the approaches.

The positives are knowing that I've tried and pushed myself out of comfort zone.

However, there comes a point where the constant rejections will start to take their toll. It's about knowing when to take a step back.
