Is it better to jerk in bed or out of bed?

I’m thinking about not doing it in bed anymore, even though I use wash cloths to try and avoid making a mess. A mess still gets made because it shoots out too far sometimes. Only problem is that it feels better in bed than out. Would nofap fix this since it makes the stroking feel better?

It terms of cleanup out of bed 100%, in bed its more comfortable usually though.
