Arguable, you wouldnt have to spend effort in disposing their corpses if you go with the latter.

But then in a theoretical situation they'll still have a chance to gather a powerbase somewhere else, if you want to them gone then imprison all of them but that's just concamp, or if you're iffy on disposing the body then just build a hole, dump em in and light them on fire
