Is it against forum etiquette to reply multiple times in a thread?

Idk I don't see anyone else doing this for some reason. I reply to a post after I read it, then continue scrolling, and reply again if there is another post I want to reply to. It's much more convenient than quoting

In some forums replying multiple times in a row just adds your new post to the previous one, that way it's less cluttered but I guess it's really a non-issue
