From what some I know at college tell me, if you fuck up in any way in one it's over for you basically. It seems as if a lot of people who live in places such as that dislike it regardless of who they are as an individual. I do think location(and thus, environment)can play a big role in ones inceldom & that a lot of people don't give it much attention.
I wouldn't want to live in a big city though, those are shit. Something like a large town or small city sounds best.
