is buddhism as a philosophy pure bullshit?

Obviously it is. It's not even a philosophy, it's mythology.

An entire religion based on cope tbh, atleast in a way the populace of said religion pay for their religious incels to ldar.

They're all bullshit. But meditation actually is legit. Helps a lot of people. But yeah it's all bullshit basically. No afterlife. No resserection. Etc

When you read the actual texts it’s quite blackpilled. Is the idea of nirvana and escaping the physical world cope? Sort of, I mean it’s a theory at best, but it’s trying to offer a solution: the universe as we know it is fucking awful, but we’re born into it and given a sentience, so surely there is a solution.

When you read the four noble truths, it’s as if the religion was designed for incels:

All life is suffering
All suffering is caused by desire
Suffering can be extinguished by eliminating desire
Desire can be eliminated by walking the narrow path

It's Nihilism painted with pretty colors.

Adopted either by losers who realize they won't achieve much in life, so they try to convince themselves they don't want to achieve anything by meditating for 20 mins a day.
Or by people who, despite being sucessfull, realize the meaninglessness of existence.

Meditation is a usefull tool to shut your mind up by distracting attention from your toughts. But that's all it is. There is nothing spiritual or mystical about it.

True, but there is also a lot of dogma. Reincarnation and what have you.

Yeah, and like all religions, there are tons of different sects, many of whom have basically changed it into a system of governance.

Reincarnation is basically the idea (that was later proven by physicists), that energy cannot be created or destroyed - only changed. I don’t believe in reincarnation, but I kind of get what they are saying.

You've once again inspired me to research something. I used to listen to a lot of Alan Watts, but the problem with modern Buddhism is that it's been watered down for westerners, who are - as a general rule - not very big on the theological/ spiritual aspects of the original faith.

Thanks anyway.

What are some books of Buddhism and mediation so I can stop being such an angry piece of shit

my mom puts fruits she buys in her "meditation room" for a few days so it can be "blessed." dumb bitch lmao

Read Buddhists actual words and decide for yourself http://www.tipitaka.net/tipitaka/dhp/verseload.php?verse=146

I think it makes perfect sense

Nice!

I think the goal of escaping reincarnation is bullshit, however the Buddha accurately stated that being alive is endless suffering because of our desires and attachments. We can't ever stop desiring water, nourishment, sex, etc. When we are deprived of these things, we suffer. I doubt there's a path to reject all attachment.

I wanna be reincarnated as a chadullah

Overall probably; but I dream of a nip waifu to take me to Shinto temples where we'll pose for photos together then get our stamp books stamped and collect the different temple insignias like Pokémon badges.

reincarnating as a wealthy chad or stacey would actually lead to more attachment to this world, you want off this world not reincarnating back into a body people lust after and keeping you stuck here - this world is suffering - our current timeline does Mask or coat the sheen of shit the world actually is and sort of like the Buddhas father of keeping his son ignorant of how the world is to keep Buddha away from monastic life
