I noticed Bitcoin dumped today. Is crypto in general a scam? Everyone just ends up trading it for usd at the end.

Getting flashbacks to when I was 15, and I told my fucking bitch mother to just put £500 into bitcoin AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Same bullshit as the stock market (randomness) -- only the zoomer-idiots these days fall for the Jew-push and normie-tard obsession with it.

It's just the new, flashy toy the normshits obsess over as if it's a new "escape" or "ascension" plan for broke, college-bound idiots, incels/etc. Think about it: under its bullshit propaganda it's another stock AKA fake money, scam markets, Russian Roulette & gambling/lottery fantasy.

Gambling for zoomers, at least with stocks you get some protections.

no, government-issued money is a scam

Yes it's nothing more then a speculation market now. Don't fall for the meme, It may have had some utility and was a viable alt currency when only druggies and pedos used it to buy shit in the deep web. Now it's just a get rich quick scheme that was only really viable if you put money into it years ago.

Pure speculation, it doesn't have any practice value other than money laundering, once you can't use it as a trade mean due to its volatility

That's what you guys have been saying back in 2013. "muh silk road" n all that.

I remember this video in 2017... I think in like july? I cant remember exactly when but I remember it started dumping... and people were screaming it was a ponzi scheme and it was a dead project blah blah. I bought a few hundred dollars worth when it was like 2 or 3 thousand dollars. Then not much longer later it shot up to 17k. eventually crashed back down to 3000 something at its lowest point and now it's still over 40k.

People have been saying bitcoin was dead since 2011 before it even reached 100 dollars, the first bull run and into the bear market people called it a bubble and it's over and all that... Now look at the price. It's never going back to 300 again, I doubt it will go less than 30,000, and I'll film myself lighting my dick on fire and upload it here if it drops below 3000 again. For real, I'm serious, IT dudes here can leak my IP address if I don't do it. I'm betting my not on fire dick on that. If it crashes to 3000 I'm pouring some flammable liquid and will light my dick on fire while autistically screaming "FORGIVE ME INCEL.IS FOR I HAVE FAILED YOU!":feelsautistic::feelsautistic::feelsautistic::feelsautistic::feelsautistic::feelsautistic::feelsautistic:

If you knew what bitcoin really was, you'd realize how valuable it is for our financial freedom. I'm betting by the 2040s it will be over a million dollars.

If it was, would billionaires be investing in it?

The are buying to inflate its value. Once inflated, they will dump their bitcoin and magically it would become worthless. What an amazing coincidence that would be!

Practical value is value outside of the current financial system. It's literally digital gold. Name ONE... just ONE single major asset in the traditional stock market, anything in the S&P500 that has beat bitcoins returns. Just one. Or hell any other investment that you could have spent 100 bucks in and became a millionaire now.

It's a scam, unless you're the scammer. :feelsthink:

Hey, all I'm gonna say is when it hits over 100k, and one day even a million, don't say no one ever told you. :feelsokman::dab:

You think bitcoin's value is based on something other than speculation? If so, elaborate.

I don't know what you are attacking, I never claimed that bitcoin isn't a good asset or that you can't profit out of it

Okay, I think I get your point, but you can say that about most assets. Similar with stocks and real-estate, gold is backed by itself, people pay money for it, it goes up in value over the long run, but at the end of the day it's just a piece of metal. Similar for any other asset like land/property. The value is based on its scarcity. Bitcoin can not be inflated, duplicated or faked so it's probably backed on more than the US dollar which is literally backed by nothing anymore.

Don't know but my (relatively low risk) investment account fell from up $850 to up $550 in a single day, which I haven't seen before in the 3 months since I began investing.

Buy retail fear.

Long term still bullish

Only useful thing about cryptos is XMR. And even this is problematic because all cryptos are too volatile, which trumps its usefulness both as mean of exchange and store of value (obs: they aren't real currency).

The rest is just an over glorified paypal with a gambling system built in.

Only way to profit with it (and with stocks too) is to get aboard the right boat before everyone else. Not that different from a Ponzi scheme, whether you like it or not.

That is not really true based on all the alt coins. Bitcoin is not really any different and sometimes inferior, bitcoin only has a brand name that every speculates on. It’s the equivalent of buying apple stock because apple is a recognizable brand and the stock goes up. But Bitcoin has no value, gold has its metallic and physical properties, land has its resources, Bitcoin has nothing.

I made a few grand of it and then chashed out

It is but not any more or less than the stock market. They're both ponzi schemes. I only keep cash. If I had money, I'd buy property

Its a ponzi , but its still going
Cash out a million and let someone else buy your bags
