A lot of traditional Catholic/Christian FOIDS say that they want a provider husband who will earn enough money to support her and her 8 white children.
For most incels( and I'd argue most 21st century men) this is quite literally impossible because of how poor everyone is and how companies refuse to pay people a livable wage.
That being said, for most of human history, humans were dirt poor. In the 19th century both men and women HAD to work just so they could scrape by enough money to not starve. At least for lower class families, women always had to work. It's just that the children would be working in the factories too
