I don’t know why so many people would think autism is a invisible disability, honestly it’s not. Lot of autistic have not very symmetrical faces and not very photogenic.

Don't forget the clumsy, weird, anti-social body language, mannerisms and behavior. I think the reason, though, that autism is referred to as "invisible," is because most people can see something is "off" about us, but can't really pinpoint what exactly it is that's "off," assuming they don't have more than basic knowledge of the existence of autism.

Autism is sometimes "invisible" if you don't know or assume the person has autism. Normans don't assume every clumsy person has autism though so they have no idea why autists are so weird but they don't want to be anywhere near autists. Every species thrives on consistency and autists break social rules and therefore deviate from the constant. Autists are like squirrels that run at you and not away from you, completely breaking the expected and learnt behaviour pattern of squirrels. You don't know what exactly is wrong with it but you instinctively know something's not right.
