Real question here, I've long believed that religion was just another form of control and wanted no part of it, but I understand why people do believe in a god. I just think its a way to make humans feel more in control of the universe. People say "Our" universe but it doesn't belong to us, we just inhabit it.
I used to be very religious as a child, going to mass every Sunday and saying prayers before bed every night, but I gt older and learned about the universe and how small a space we occupy and it got me wondering whether there was a god at all.
I looked online at nihilistic lifestyles and thought that was a far better mode of living and I came to the conclusion that all religions are forms of control.
