Just wondered! I have a strange fixation with these things, lol

I only have 2 in my possession right now though - a plastic Wilkinson Sword one and a metal WS as well.

I watch this guy's videos a lot on youtube ^^

So yeah erm, just thought it might be a cool topic to bring up!

Also I like Astra blades and WS blades.

Peace! :)

Cool hobby.

Yes maybe one day I can be like this man, lol

Oldspice

My father had one of those when i was little. I always wondered why todays they have 75 blades when one that is double sided is enough. Anyways, over for beardlessbabyfacedcel. :reeeeee::feelsrope:

Yeah it's strange that razors have so many blades now. I find that 3 blade razors... possibly feel a bit milder? Maybe o.O

But they're not as effective against longer stubble or beard growth and they don't feel so good either when you're shaving, at least in my opinion.

And hey at least you save time shaving, lol

3 is about the maximum that i'd prefer, any more and the space between each blade is too tight and just gets clogged and i have to keep wetting it and trying to rub the hair out of it. maybe i'm just a retard and i'm doing something wrong idk

I prefer the dangerous kind tbh DED srs

Yeah I agree it's difficult to clean them! I meant to mention that in my last post actually but forgot.

I find they kind of clean OK if you rub it on a towel in the opposite direction to when you're shaving. So like, up as opposed to down, so to speak.

I found that cleared it quite quickly, at least in the 3 blade ones. But yeah I still prefer safety razors I think :)

Oh you mean this then! heh :)

Going to safety razors was one of the best gimmicks I fell for after the gillete video. I got a basic no brand safety razor and a brush and a pack of blades. I have upgraded to a better razor and recently bought a stand and new soap. Its a good idea to bulk buy so you don't have to keep paying for shipping when you only need soap or blades.

Oh cool - what brand is your new one?

I tried that metal WS I have last night and wow it's an aggressive razor compared to what I'm used to! Scary, haha

Not being able to do something every man can do is fucking emasculating. :feelsree::feelsree::feelsree:
Hm ._.

Are you pretty young, or?

No 29

Meh, at least it's still less effort!

So you have... a little bit of stubble but not much?

I remember in my teens when I first started getting facial hair and it was thin at first but fairly quickly it was normal thickness.

I am quite a hairy person in general though, lol. I'm part Italian and Maltese so that probably explains it!

I don't think it's necessarily testosterone levels that do it as that isn't the only hormone that regulates hair growth :)

Ngl I tried it once but kept on cutting myself. The thing is im a lazy person and I just try to shave as quickly as possible and using that I ended up many cuts.

Afterwards I switched back to the one I was using before.

Some can be pretty aggressive. The metal WS one I was using felt too aggressive for me but the black plastic one is fine. UNLESS I use a particularly aggressive blade like a Feather and then sometimes I cut myself a fair bit >.<

As long as I use a WS or Astra blade in the mild WS razor then I'd have to be trying to hurt myself to get anything more that a very small nick or a touch of razor burn.

I've stuck the pictures of them below.

I don't know if I can ever make the metal one work for me. I do have some milder Astra blades buried in a drawer somewhere so maybe I'll try them in it. Of course, there are milder metal razors out there but I'm trying to save myself the cash, lol

It's just my shit tier dead end genetics, nothing new to me lol.

I use an electric razor.

oof >.<

I'm sure your genes are good in other ways ^^

I use an electric razor.
I actually... can never get them to work for me. I have two of them here - a Braun foil shaver and a Philips rotary one and... I really can't get either to take off much hair even when it's not long stubble or anything like that.

I go over the same spot quite a few times and there is still quite a lot of stubble there.

What am I doing wrong? :o

Do you have a waterproof one? I've only use ones that you can use in water and it gets a very close and smooth cut.

No I don't think either are waterproof.

It's just that with safety razors or even cartridge razors I do fine... even with disposable razors I do fine! But electric... no luck so far. I bought the rotary one just in case it was some issue with foil shavers or with my specific one, but it still didn't seem to do much for me.

I was very much into them. I have bunch of them but not using any since I don't shave at all

Can you use them? Have you shaved with them?

I've been using my black plastic WS one for many years :)

Some like that one are very easy to use but some are significantly more difficult!

I am using one of that type too, these plastic razors with multiple not replaceable blades suck
