Outside the U.S where guns are hard to get best thing to do is run. Getting into a knife fight will get you killed or crippled most likely.

It's not a bad idea, you can fend off multiple enemies with a sword due to its range. The only problem is that you can't conceal it, and if you carry it in something like a case you have to waste precious seconds taking it out of its case which would get you killed in a fight.
Can't go wrong with a bazooka (until you accidentally blow yourself up)

Ka Bar and Gerber are good. Especially their grips. But their sharpness and point are also good. But almost any knife that is big enough will make people think twice or help you win a fight
