Never watched Rosen Maiden, I probably should. Old anime has a special feel to it, makes you have affection for the girls.

I have also taken a liking to Hidan no Aria, not as intense of an anime and Gun Slinger Girl.
I don't understand how anime girls can be so souless now then before. Its a bit strange, possibly because they are so generic now that two characters look alike? I think they make their personalies too generic, like making them all the "pretty girl mommy gf" "or generic loli underage sister".
