I remember, a while ago, reading somewhere that Zoroastrianism, as it is known today, was not the original religion of the ancient Iranians, but was rather a construct of a power-hungry clergy that suppressed earlier and more authentic ancient traditions. It concluded by stating that the true religion of the ancient Iranians is found in the pre-Sassanid Parthian period (specifically in Mithraism).
Honestly, who even cares about that religion anymore? Whatever its distant, Bronze Age origins were, it no longer White or Aryan in any meaningful sense. At this point, it's as "White" as Hinduism. Now it's just a set of stagnant traditions that might as well change its name to the "We-Aren't-Muslims" religion.
I'll post the text if I manage to find it, but do with that what you want.
