The process of learning requires intelligence, but learning new subjects won't simply make you more intelligent. This phenomenon is highly inherited. You're either born with it or not.

Though, high IQ is positively correlated with loneliness and virginity. Highly intelligent individuals tend to be lonely, depressed, and sexually deprived most of the time.
 
True, people without others have more time to learn.
 
most of my peers in school who have partners and such always seem to do better and perform brighter than me. So I guess that explains it.
