Interviews are hostile and are not professional. It's not like what propoganda like to have you believe is that interviews have a professional demeanour to it. You are suppose to have a good attitude in the corporate propoganda view in an interview, and you must have personality. A positive nice personality even though it's obnoxious. This is propoganda from the big corporations. An interview in real life like a linguistic battle of wits. You are there to secure a job, and it is the interviewers job to gatekeep. It is by no means a clean discussion, but a messy one. It's a battle of linguistics where you throw any phrase and words and manipulative sentences and exaggerative claims of abilities to claim the job. The interviewer would be an asshole and play with you as if he is dangling a carrot at the end of a stick to bait you into stumbling. He/she is there so that you have a terrrible experience. It is by in every means chaotic and messy. You both walk out hating each other. Sometimes you get the job, and sometimes you don't.
However, this is not the case if you are a woman. The interviewers don't but up resistance to women, and are extra kind and honest. Interviewers like to give a positive experience to women.
Don't believe the corporate interview videos on how an interview should look like. It is slimy, and too positive with all the fake-smiles, etc. It pales in comparison to an interview in a real-world situation.
