First option. I don't think my life has much in store and I'm a failed idealist anyway, so I may as well.

Both options are good as they mean I get to die either way and leave this shitshow existence called life. But I'd probably choose the first option because sacrificing my life for something that's greater than myself would at least give me a purpose, something to strive towards.

But even then, what's left to fight for and die in this world other than for ourselves and for our personal and selfish desires?

This was the nail in the coffin doubling down on everything, like most of us already doubted picking the sacrifice choice but you had to add this. I'm definitely choosing the world to go down with me.

Securing humanity’s future does not mean I get to know how things will go, the world might be wall-e tier where everyone is fat and in outer space but humanity is secured. Or the world might be ruled by high tech nigger troons that sodimize femboys daily. I would receive no benefit as I would have no stake in this world anymore after death.

This while robbing everyone and humanity of any opportunity to evolve. Might not be a bad choice if no blowback is involved and would put an end to everyone’s problems.

It's a bit hard to answer, because humanity doesn't need to be "saved" right now, it doesn't faces extinction, but if I had to pick, I'd pick the latter option: destroy everything.
