I went to my local Barnes and Noble in my city to buy some of the Junji Ito´s collections that viz media is putting out in the market. I´m not a huge manga fan but Junji Ito´s work really captivated my attention, although i read him through the lens of Lovecraft, which in terms of Junji Ito´s narrative, the nipon artist seems closer to pulp fiction than to any type of Lovecraftian anti-humanist ethos. And this is the main difference between pulp fiction and Lovecraft, literary critics tend to compare the two, but they're wrong: pulp fiction is Lovecraft without the essence of the anti-anthropological basis of the Lovecraftian ethos.

Anyway, I went to the Starbucks café that´s within the Barnes and Noble establishment to eat some hot chocolate chip cookies and a pepsi. While sitting down and enjoying my food i noticed an interesting conversation between a college professor and a gigachad. They were talking about philosophy, particularly about the existentialist school (Camus, Sartre, etc). I was intrigued by the conversation and I decided to interrupted them in order to participate in it: they were pleased by my participation, so we exchange contacts.

Eventually, the pessimist philosopher, Schopenhauer, was brought into the table and subsequently i decided to talk about the incel question and its relationship with 19th century German pessimism. While we were discussing this issue, the gigachad said that "celibacy seems like a great option if you want to achieve other goals in life, such as those related with intellectual achievements." I was clearly impressed by his statement and I couldn´t refute it. Sexual sublimation is necessary to achieve intellectual achievement: the more systematic philosophy (scholasticism) was done by priests in Medieval times for a reason.

Do you think his comment was a form of cope? I´m sure that the guy, since he's a gigachad (nice height, hunter eyes, muscles, jaw line) can find sexual success, but he seems to be dismissive about it. Should I be dismissive about it too and make the transition to volceldom? What do you guys think?

16 Signs of low intelligence

1. Lacking curiosity

The hallmark of low intelligence, lack of curiosity keeps people stuck at their present level of knowledge. They know just enough to get by in the world. They don’t ask questions and seem to be satisfied with where they are intellectually.

2. Lacking intellectual humility

Intellectual humility means accepting you don’t know what you don’t know. Curiosity and intellectual humility are the engines of intellectual growth. The tendency in people is to believe they know everything. Yet, the more you know, the more you realize how little you know.

3. Closed-mindedness

Being closed to new ideas, opinions and information keeps low intelligence people stuck where they are. Closed-minded people have a tendency to confirm their pre-existing beliefs. Hence, they cannot learn new things.

4. Not interested in learning

Low intelligence people mostly see learning as a waste of time. They don’t even have the intelligence to see how learning can benefit them. They stop learning when they graduate. High intelligence people, on the other hand, accept that learning is a lifelong process

5. Not seeking novelty

Low intelligence people seem to have an aversion to novelty in general. You’ll see that they not only avoid exposing themselves to new ideas, but to anything new- new art, new music, etc. On the contrary, novelty is very stimulating to high intelligence people. They seek novelty to keep expanding their mind and to see things in a fresh light.

6. Avoid thinking

Low-intelligence people avoid thinking when they can. They always need to be told exactly what to do and won’t use their own minds. They thrive in formal education structures requiring rote learning but lack street-smartness. Put them in a novel situation where they’re required to think on their feet and watch them crumble.

7. Diminished ability to reflect on things

The ability to reflect on things is one of the greatest cognitive skills of humans. It helps us understand the causality behind events. Keen observation plus the ability to reflect have been the drivers of human progress.

8. Lacking critical thinking

Critical thinking is difficult because it goes against how the mind works. The mind assimilates information as beliefs and then goes about confirming those beliefs. Testing the validity of those beliefs takes up significant mental energy. Yet, it’s the only way to get closer to the truth.

9. Not changing their minds often

The rate at which people change their opinions indicates the rate at which they’re learning new things. While intelligent people change their position on things from month to month or week to week, low intelligence people hold on to the things they learned years ago.

Having too strong an opinion on anything is generally a sign that a person is only looking at part of the entire story.

10. Black and white thinking

Low intelligence people are masters of black and white thinking. They only seem to think in terms of opposites, ignoring the grey areas in between. Reality is often too complex to be interpreted in opposites.

11. Lacking creativity

As they lack novelty-seeking, low intelligence people also lack creativity. Creativity doesn’t emerge out of a vacuum. The most creative people constantly expose themselves to other creative people in their fields. This way, creativity feeds on itself and produces beautiful things in the world.

12. Lacking cognitive flexibility

Changing one’s mind often is a sign of open-mindedness. It’s opinion-flexibility i.e. not being rigid in one’s opinions. Similarly, cognitive flexibility means not being rigid in one’s ways of thinking. Cognitive flexibility is the ultimate goal of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. The ones who develop it can significantly improve their mental health.

13. Short-term thinking

Low intelligence people are consistently unable to overcome their desire for instant gratification. They frequently turn a blind eye to the long-term consequences of their present behaviors.

14. Poor decision-making

We all make poor decisions from time to time. But low intelligence people consistently fail to weigh the pros and cons of their decisions.

15. Unrealistic thinkers

The more in alignment a person’s mind is to reality, the smarter they are. Being out of touch with reality is a sure sign of low intelligence.

16. Poor interpersonal skills

Being able to deal effectively with people is also a sign of high intelligence. Low intelligence people lack key social skills such as:

  • Having a win-win mentality
  • Being empathetic
  • Good communication skills
  • Having emotional intelligence
  • Ability to deal with criticism
  • Ability to understand sarcasm
  • Ability to see things from another’s perspective

It raises a question. That they're so engaged with their own fixations and interests that's set as priority and leads to celibacy. Mania and obsession is common among them.

le jaw line le height le hunter eyes le big dong xD

There's something very homoerotic about the way people describe Chads. I almost shit myself laughing the first few times I heard someone unironically say "hunter eyes".

idk just say he was masculine looking or something. Having a jawline and muscles doesn't make you a gigachad so it's kinda pointless mentioning it.

describing individual characteristics narrows down the spacious scope of the appearance you're trying to convey, diminishing confusion and doubt.

yeah, but what he described could basically be said for any high-tier normie. Muscles and a jawline aren't Gigachad-specific features. And do you not cringe whenever you see someone unironically use "hunter eyes"?

This is quite interesting psychologically

also scarily these are almost the hallmark of every liberal political establishment and democracy in the west, especially the U.K., they fucking tick every single box, particularly points 2 and 12,13,14
The difference is he comes from a position of abundance so it's easy to say no but we come from a position of desperation
yes this is the whole cake.

it is very very easy for a person who lives in a butchers with steaks every day, to say yeah bro steaks are over rated bro i think ill go 6 months with no steak they jeeeeeez bore me bro

while you show a steak to a kid in africa and he would walk 10000 miles to eat one bite of the very same steak the chad butcher has dismissed off hand.

low iq 101

im never wrong bro jeeeez everyone else is wrong (without giving any info to back up, and being completely out of wack with reality simultaneously).

your llow iq because you cant actually admit and analyse where you are going wrong
Where tf is number 2? I’m probably low iq so can you fucking explain

hes right, if its voluntary celibacy where an individual either abstains from sex for good or delays it due to religious reasons ( no sex before marriage etc) ,although one can also be volcel and incel at the same time, how you may ask?
Well there are 2 types of volcels :

1.the volcel who has direct access to sexual intercourse(foids) but voluntarily abstains from it due to personal convictions .
2.the low-smv(incel) volcel , he has no access to direct sexual intercourse but he also abstains from prostitutes and the like due to personal convictions.

these 2 are the only incels/volcels who can actually fit his description, theyre the ones who are able to completely withdraw their primal sexual urges for the sake of intellectual development .

But if an individual is involuntary celibate and he also doesnt want to abstain from prostitutes and if he has no religious / moral convictions to stay volcel then this is the type that is failed to doom and lead a life of misery , where they will be unable to properly pursue intellectual development since they will be thinking about sex 24/7
