As far as I understand, cope and coping was originally meant to mean statements and beliefs that are comforting but not true. These delusions are not helpful in the long run

If you mean the various “copes” as in hobbies and pastimes that incels have simply because they enjoy them, or because they help them endure life, I don’t have any problem with those, and I doubt anyone else does
