"Incel" has basically just become an appellation for anyone who criticizes or mocks women, regardless of whether he is celibate or not. It is the same kind of semantic drift we see with other words. "Pedophile," for example, originally meant attraction to prepubescent children, but people now use it for someone who finds an eighteen-year-old attractive. "Racist" used to mean belief in racial hierarchy, but now it just means anything outside liberal norms (as Jonathan Bowden pointed out here: https://x.com/Aethelweald/status/1920852782849921090/video/1). The point is, these words get stretched until they mean whatever someone wants them to mean, just to shut you up.
To substantiate this, you can look at the thread I am quoting myself from, but also this IT post from two hours ago:
View: https://www.reddit.com/r/IncelTears/comments/1nabteg
In it, a woman calls a man she had sex with an "incel." He even says directly that he has had sex in the past, yet he is still given that label. Remember what the portmanteau actually means: involuntarily celibate. By definition, it refers to men who cannot form sexual relationships despite wanting them. But on that subreddit, "incel" no longer means what it was coined to mean. Now it just means men they regret sleeping with, men who criticize women, or frankly any man who rubs them the wrong way. This is why you should never take that subreddit seriously, and in truth you should not take Reddit seriously at all, but especially not that corner of it which is nothing but smug, self-congratulating groupthink.
