Then funding them can be covered voluntarily and not need to be enforced through taxes. Small road maintenance can be covered through donations as well. The military is already big enough and doesn't need more money to invade countries that aren't messing with us.

That depends of the libertarian that you are talking. Some of them can consider you a socialist, other a socialdemocrat and other a soft right guy.
