You hear that argument from normalfags all the time. When they say hobbies, they mean hobbies that are approved by a female; they don't mean stuff like animal keeping, bikes, weaponry etc. These hobbies are off-putting for frontholes.
And furthermore, if the hobby isn't approved by the fronthole she will force you to give it up: From my experience on platforms like Facebok most animals are sold because they are either a) too big or b) because a female entered life of the man and forced him to give them up (I am involved in many animal trading groups there and therefore have some knowledge). And also examples from my personal life: An acquaintance of mine was an absolute snake expert, but after meeting his wife she told him "The snakes or me!" (and they weren't even dangerous, just corn snakes and different asian ratsnakes) and he chose her, my mother always yelled at my father for spending time with his bikes and I know even more people who had to stop their hobby due to women. Almost all normalfags I knew had to completely abandon their interests to satisfy a female.
Furthermore, how are (accepted) hobbies supposed to help according to normalfags? In the hobby/interest groups I have visited there was a surplus of males most of the time, as soon as a female appeared she was put on a pedestal and reached around like a trophy between the different males in the group.
