It seems that Christian fanatics really like Trump and America, even if they are people of color and not from America. Do you know why?

I am trying to penetrate my teacher's mind.

I'm here , I'm in , anything I can do to help in any way I can

I wound consider myself a Protestant currently but all denominations are welcome.

Because they are the only Christian option, but I don't agree with trump he is not a Christian.

what do you think of killing all jews?

We should make talks on .is, or at least biblical based posts for users to read.

This is my idea for the ministry. We should show all those in despair the love Jesus has to offer them.

We can think of ideas for specific posts

Over the next few days I will add some.

I was also thinking as I go to church every sunday, I can make notes from the talk, then add them onto .is. - It will also give me more of a desire to stay focused during the meeting haha

You should watch pastor steve cioccolanti. He has some of the most engaging sermons. I love his ministry especially regarding end times prophecies and the book of revelations.

Personally learning about God's love made me a Christian again so we should use things like that. Being an incel is the lack of love. for example we could do a post about the parable of the vineyard worker

Matthew 20:1-16

20 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.
5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,
12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

We should.

Also we should keep our threads separate, but whenever you make one tag me in it, and I will do the same with you. Just so that the thread is not duplicated.

Do you consider the bible literal or allegorical? Do you think God judges and has an ego?

Can I ask you the question you just asked? I've asked countless Christians this, and everyone forbade me from reading the Bible myself. Why is the book of truth so difficult to understand that everyone interprets it differently, yet the Church's interpretation is the most correct? Why does the Church have the prerogative to interpret the Bible and theology? Is it truly objective? As I've said many times, when 1+1 is no longer 2, any lie—whether meaningful or meaningless—can become and is the truth. There is no longer good or evil, right or wrong, life or death, reproductive or non-reproductive. At that point, power becomes the ultimate truth, and they have the right to impose any rules on you because they have money, power, and the media to make their version of the reality.

I have some questions: Is ignorance a strength of faith? What constitutes true faith? Does faith confront objective logic? It seems to me that theology doesn't stem from reality and always relies on convoluted arguments to justify itself.

Well, I'm not a Christian. I view it as an allegorical story and have my own interpretation.

it seems reasonable that Scripture contains both. Do you have a specific portion? If the Bible didn't have any anthropomorphic language, God becomes distant and abstract. If one accepts it too literally, God begins to resemble an exaggerated man.

Thomas Aquinas argued that reason and learning support faith. When a honest Christian investigates atheism enough he will find his faith is true as did I and many others. A man may repeat doctrines all his life and yet possess no real faith at all. Faith is a settled trust in God. Faith is not opposed to logic. This, I think, is too simple, reason is a fine instrument, but not an unlimited one. Faith enters most often where reason reaches its boundary, consciousness, creation, objective morals, ect.

I also acknowledge the typo made in the opening statement of this thread

All of it really. If the bible is just a repackaging of an abstract concept how is it different from mythology or any other fictional work.

I am trying to penetrate my teacher's mind.
The conservative party in America has positioned itself as the most friendly to Christians, trump in particular pushed himself as the bastion of protestant-Zionism through his support of israel. remember the roevwade situation, that actively put trump in a very very good light as the only president to challenge abortion rights. Even for those who despise him his seen as the lesser evil

its not that its impossible for someone to solo-read the bible and have a well informed understanding of it, but it does hold historical context and spiritual information. that someone without a proper background in church history and theology will fail to interpret right. imagine providing someone without any proper education 10 text books of math from university level. they might get general key ideas and concept but without a professor to interpret this concepts for them they will never have an in-depth knowledge

The heretics want to change the meanings. Like look at JW/WTC for example taking out the end of Matthew just to fit their agenda.

At the end of the day there is only 1 correct interpretation, and it is rather easy to understand - Read KJV
