I think you know what I mean, you start eating a couple, and the next thing you know you are sitting down munching down the entire bag. The food is not nutritious, mastication required makes the process time consuming, and yet you still sit and eat all of it because it's so comfy and addicting. It's also exactly like porn. They are dichotomously bastions of freedom yet exercising freedom is so addicting it traps you in the sense that we all know that freedom is unsustainable, and prevents you from empowering one's own social status. Freedom is only about pleasure, and when you choose to be obligated to something it allows you to maintain freedom for later. It's all illusory: we all know looming in our periphery that we owe something to somebody, whether that be labor, time, money. That the entire captialist system artificially propped up that most find unbearable is even unsustainable, and would ultimately come down to something worse.
