Has anyone researched this topic, or is anyone a biologist or something similar?

I know there are parasites and fungi that infect insects and basically turn them into zombies.

But is it possible for something like that to happen to humans?

What are the chances of creating a 100% genuine zombie virus in a laboratory?

No chance at all and if there was I'm 100% sure the military could deal with it in less than 24 hours.

Only fungus are the closest thing for that to happen. But our bodies are too hot for them to survive as a host.

Rabies. But you'll die in 1-2 weeks. Zombies are supposed to be "alive" way longer

Local racist and science coper here.

You are thinking of Cordyceps fungi. They are only able to infect insects due to them being cold-blooded (environmentally regulated body temperature). Humans have way more complex bodies, are warm blooded, and have strong immune systems.

Most things that affect the brains of humans just slowly deteriorate us until we die. (Dementia, Cancer, Prions, Drugs).

The only things similar to a zombie virus are bath salts, and rabies. But those are temporary and will kill us quickly.

Okay, but rabies is a disease found in nature.

I doubt anyone here can answer me (except maybe a glownigger, hmmm).

But what about creating a zombie virus in a lab? I mean, artificially. If they could create something like AI, which used to be considered science-fiction, maybe a zombie virus could also be created by technology

(Of course, it's not going to escape and cause a catastrophe like in the movies or in Resident Evil.)

If such a thing exists, there is a 100% chance it is a government secret, and ordinary people will never know of its existence.

Possible to make? Maybe.

We can create any virus we want now with Crispr. It's quite easy in fact, just would take a lot of human trials to make sure it works. It would be impossible to make it spread quickly through bites though. Incubation period would take minimum one day or else your immune system could probably kill the virus off.

It might be able to make you go crazy and mad, attacking things you see. But a classic WWZ zombie infection? No probably not.

I wish it would happen so I could STALKERBanditmaxx.

It’s probably has happened already. Not a zombie specifically but our minds being controlled by viruses. That’s probably where aggressive behavior originated from, a virus making animals aggressive but that is transmissible like HIV adapted into our systems being passed down.

That’s what most sci-fi zombie apocalypse movies bet on, some type of immortality and aggressive behavior.

Probably 0% but even if it happened i think in this day and age the military could eliminate the virus fairly easy

I long for the day of the apocalypse. Humanity deserves to be wiped off the face of the Earth

Bioengineering a zombie virus could be possible, but it spreading wouldn’t cause an apocalypse.

Zombies would realistically die quickly from starvation, and regular puncture wounds and bleeding would also be deadly for them.

Zombies being immortal and immune to damage except towards their heads have their origins in folklore involving black magic.

If a zombie outbreak happens does that mean I can ascend with Jill?

If you were to create a human CWD it might be the end of the world
