Tee hee
I believe that the reason so many men spurn women for their affections, and why some even go so far as to rebuke them entirely and their whole existence, is simply due to the fact that most of them have a very hard time dealing with rejection. Rejection is something that every human can sympathize with; no matter how bleak you may think your situation is, there is always someone else out there who is experiencing a hell worse than yours. Throughout history, we as a society, have tried to throw away the reigns that rejection tends to wrap around our throats. We try very hard to steer the right way, but something as significant as a "no" is enough to send us spiraling into another direction.
Rejection is something that every human feels at least more than once in their lifetime. And it shows through our use of the message "Don't give up hope" in our movies and stories that we are all quite acquainted with the feeling of depression and dread that rejection reels in. Sometimes saying "don't give up hope" is not enough though, and we tend to strive for something more than that simple saying. Sometimes we are stacked in an impossible game of cards which we cannot hope to win, so the phrase may seem a mockery to us then. But there are situations where this saying is imperative to winning, and it is often times the only way to win in certain aspects of life.
Dating. I'm sure most men on this site can attest that it is often a cruel, fickle game that seems pointless to try to play. It seems like that impossible card game, but it is not. There is an easy trump card that literally every player has hidden. What the other players don't know is that they all have the same trump card. Personality. It's the easiest trump card to pull, and it is the only way you win this game of life. You don't need personality to learn how to handle the katana, or run a business. You need other skills for that, that are much more suited to winning over the people in those positions. With dating the only card you need is personality. And then the rest is simple. Find someone else who likes your personality. And then you're set.
While I do recommend changing other aspects of your life, like your views or what you think of certain things, two matching personalities are the key to winning the game. And if you find that you cannot win this game, then you may not have that card, so I think you should reshuffle that deck and try again. And again. And again. Until you DO find that card. Only then will you be able to win this game. No trump card, no victory. And if you give up hope early in this game, then you're backing yourself into a corner. The other opponents are moving in, and stealing all the chips, while you sit back blaming your looks and the chips themselves for why you cannot win. While you were busy lamenting your looks, and Chad, and Stacey the other players were studying the chips. And what they saw they used to their advantage. And THAT'S how you lost. Not because of the chips, or because of the other players strategic moves, or a rigged game. You lost because you did not act. And when you did act it was the wrong move.
Try doing what the other players did. Study them. Not just their actions, but why they did this or that. Try using this personality card as much as you can, and you will rake in more chips than you normally do. If you do nothing to try to change, then you have only yourself to blame for losing so much. If you can't put in the effort to try to win, then you don't deserve to win.
