I sent one message in Russian and one in Ukrainian. You might think so because Ukrainian and Russian are very similar. But online, I mostly communicate in Russian and English, because speaking Russian allows me to communicate with anyone from the former Soviet Union, while speaking Ukrainian only allows me to communicate with Ukrainians (and even then, many Ukrainians prefer to communicate in Russian).
