I was like this even before college due to being raised to be a goody two-shoes / do-gooder but it's gotten so much worse. Even rotting on this forum for an hour feels like a lapse in productivity for studymaxxing. Because nothing EVER feels like enough when you don't have a companion supporting you. There are so many psychological malformations I that a girlfriend would literally resolve instantly.

I envy those who just don't care and LDAR freely. My brother is like this and I wish I could be more like him, but the circuitry is set.

wait til u get to the part in higher ejewcation where ur expected to write 40 page papers and u realize u have 0 help, while all the other ppl who belong, each have their partner for support, or a circle of friends, or carpooling ideas, or the decent looking ones get help from the professors. Not subhumans tho, all by urself without 1 minute of help

I have stated it elsewhere but it wasn't clear from this post, I am in fact done with college in May. So I've already seen a lot of what you've described. Just the other day I was overhearing a normie discussing to this friend about all his social excursions and plans to visit people at other schools. I was struck hard by the different worlds we inhabit despite sitting at the same table.
