I've been a victim of a data breach and some phaggot in China bought some passwords/emails and one of them was my old steam account.
Luckily Steam Guard stopped him.
Ever since then, I use a random password generator and 2/3 Factor authentication for every site.
Not the same as email but same password I use on most websites.
High IQ if you do that. I used to work as an Informatics Tech, and I saw sooo many people with zero consciousness about security. They just write the same password on every websites they visit, and they write this password on a note they stick on the side of their screen. They click on every "Hey, you won 1000 bucks !" icon on porn websites, and give their debit card numbers when asked to pay for the "1$ stamp"...

I always do forget password when I have to log back in because the password strength checker thingamajig forces me to make up passwords I'll never be able to remember
