Teen movies describe a universe I am not familiar with at all. Ferris Bueller's high inhib friend was the most relatable - but he was still wealthy AF, had friends and was not at all ugly. I had the same response to the dumb books they force you to read in middle school for language and literature classes. Especially since those books were supposed to cater to the conventional teen experience... making them very alienating to incels.
