I don't know if this is true for other countries, but, when I was at school and we had to do school festivals I used to hate the absolute shit out of it. The entire experience was fucking awful. First of all you have no real input on what is going to be done. After that, everyone will start with the preparations but no one actually bothers to give you an assignment, so you just end up sitting there like an asshole not doing anything all day, and people will complain that you didn't help.
And lastly, the day of the festival actually comes and everyone is having a fantastic time except you. All you want to do is get the hell out of there and go home.
