I had both. Didn't check tiktok too much but I checked instagram quite often even if it was full of shit and ragebait. I barely posted stuff even if I uploaded pics (never of myself tho) regularly before. Once I changed phones I didn't reinstall instagram and don't miss it one bit. Meanwhile zoomers saying they're addicted to it and tried to quit many times without success just like a tobacco addict.

I think most get addicted to that tik tok like algorithm that every social media platform has copied. Personally I don't see how people can get addicted to it. I usually cringe at the annoying shit I see on it.
