My PC could easily play more modern games instead I end up playing PS1, SNES and even GBC games lol.

Why play new games, they all suck ass. Same with tv and movies, there are so many good old shows, movies, and games. Why would I waste my time playing some new shit when it's garbage 90% of the time. Even the old crap that sucks has a charm to it that the new shit just doesn't have.

That's pretty much my life. I work 60 hours a week. Come home, smoke a Blunt, jerk of to henti Japanese anime porn and then play old school boomer shooter games like quake I personally am thinking about getting off the drugs and doing a better hobby with my time such as reading books and listening to intellectual podcasts. Either way I still feel like a loser no matter what I do in life.

I agree. I bought an Xbox Series X to play new games, only for 9/10 games in my library being original xbox and 360 games. Only modern game I have that came out for this gen is Crash Bandicoot 4, and it runs fine on a small inky dinky nintendo switch. Older games really are a lot more fun.

This. There are a few good games released recently like RDR2 for example, but overall they focus way too much on graphics instead of a story and the characters are shit nowadays. I exclusively play shit older than 2015ish and if not then just some indie games.
Movies/music are unfortunately complete garbage nowadays though.

I only play online games where you can fight with/against others. Doesn't matter if they're new/old as long as they have a good playerbase and are fun to me
To be fair, they do often have outdated mechancis. Liking them is an acquired taste.
Calling them shitty was wrong, but from modern perspective they are. Nevertheless some of them are amazing games.
Also after some age, they simply are shitty, even if they were great once. But I'm talking about truly old games like Wolfenstein 3D. Certainly not PS1 games.

I still emulated gba, nds, psx, ps2, and psp game on pc. For games realeased on pc, I only play Skyrim and Dark Souls these days.

I'm playing lots of Getting Over It currently. I hate that game and I hate Bennett Foddy. But I also kinda want the golden pot (yes, I beat the game a couple of times already).
Other than that, not too long ago I bought a PS5 controller with the intent of emulating PS2 games and playing them with an HQ controller. I started playing GoW and planned on playing the rest of the GoW games after finishing the first one. Probably won't happen as I don't have the motivation for that rn anymore though.
