Your face always has the same idle expression that doesn't convey anything, you can't smile because you don't know how to and you can't show any other emotion, and even if you do, you look like you are making a bad attempt at imitating it rather than it being a natural expression like other normal people,

I am not sure if this is because our dysgenic faces weren't built to show emotion, or if it's a neurological issue, but I am absolutely certain that it exists, because it's something that I have always received external comments on either from family members or strangers

Part of it is that gen z seems to think this is "cool". So they just default to this performative perpetual indifference ("nonchalant") where they constantly act like they're just bored and "don't care" and that they're "above it all".

I also think part of it is a reaction to a world where people are constantly recording others and putting it on social media. At any given moment someone can do this to you, and context that would make your actions/reaction more understandable could be removed. So from their perspective it's best not to externally react to anything ever. And thanks to the internet zoomers are mortified of being seen as "cringe".

Which brings me to my last point. A lot of zoomers don't even know how to express themselves properly. We're talking about a generation that was terminally online from a very young age. This is especially true for the younger members of gen z, the ones who are currently 18-22. Their parents gave them an ipad when they were like 7. They never developed proper social skills. So being this ""nonchalant" ironybro who uses internet lingo and brainrot in real life and constantly uses dry sarcasm is all they know.

I remember when I took school photos at age 7, I had that ”angry face” even tho o was happy as hell, people since then have always pointed out that I look sad/angry.

I wasn’t even ugly back then and I would Consider myself mogging everyone in that photo, but I still had trouble being likeable despite people laughing at the things I said back then (applying this today aswell)

They never approached me for things even tho I had way better personality.

If Gen Z is "bad" at socializing, I cannot fathom how horrendous I must be then. At my college in the Netherlands I would always see kids flirting and being snarky with each other in English which would be their 2nd or 3rd language. Meanwhile I could never do that and English is the only language I know. I have great difficulty starting and maintaining conversations, I stutter occasionally and constantly use filler words like "um, uh" and all the jokes I attempt to make fall flat and sound horribly cringe. When I look at other Gen Zers I am always shocked how well they can communicate compared to myself.
