I listen to music for the music, if I wanted words I would read poetry. Most rap "music" shouldn't even be called music IMO, it's just someone reciting a text with no melody and the same beat in background, poetry for people who don't want to read.

There are some singers who write good lyrics though, it's modern pop that's all about sex and love. For example grunge bands in the 90s and singers like Morrisey wrote some based songs that could be liked by incels, try reading the lyrics of Morrisey's "The world is full of crashing bores" for example.

I only listen to video game music, rarely some anime music, and very rarely classical music.

Mainstream music is a turn off. I also don't like vocal music for some reason, but oh well.

my music tasted now are more varied, but my preference for VG music surprised my family for some reason.
