Often the characters that the writers want the audience to hate are cooler than most of the protagonists. Or they are simply more relatable.

And in recent films/shows there is sometimes nothing really "evil" about those characters. They are just white male figurehead, painted in a bad light, existing so that the female and minority characters have someone to fight against.

I showed my mom and dad the 2019 Joker movie using their Prime Video subscription this past winter to show them how I think my life could've gone if they weren't around in my life.

Reminds of Wandavision. The big bad white male shoots at children for no other reason than the plot needs him to do something evil.

I think that's mostly something gays do.

Least retarded conservacuck

Often times the villians are giga based. The best villians have motives besides just being evil for the sake of being evil. Unless they're just crazy i.e. joker.
