Was speaking with a Foid today at a family friends gathering & I listened mainly but chipped in now & again... Managed to keep the conversation going but eventually it went silent. I realised there that I'm boring, have no interesting thing to talk about & no topics variety of small talk chit chat... HOWEVER when talking about the film joker I managed to give an in-depth analysis...

How many of you does this happen to? That you can talk in-depth about out of the way topics BUT small talk chit chat will silence you faster than a gun shot & that you go silent mid way through or you just shut up & listen?

Yeah, that's what happens to me too. I can hold a pleasant conversation with a person who's already expressed interest in a topic I know about, but that's about as far as it goes. Because later they realize I'm just so alien to them that they weren't actually having a conversation with me, we were exchanging information.
