I find that once I get immersed in a conversation of substance which relies upon factual knowledge, reasoning capabilities and higher level cognition, I can sustain it with ease but the sorts of conversations that most people engage in, the proverbial "small talk" is entirely unintelligible to me and something I am unable to partake of.

Yeah that is the paradox of social interactions with normies, at least in western societies in that the dumber, more frivolous and altogether banal your conversations are, the more they cause foids to seek to engage with you. I remember so many days I never spoke a word.
I never got how to make small talk or chit chat either. And whenever I wanted to talk, I couldn’t do it.
There is just some wall between myself and other people.
No one has spoken to the person beneath in many years.
