My mother always said that i should greet people i know when i saw them on the street but when i actually did, they would make a stank face or not acknowledge me.

They almost never said anything to me, so i wouldn't either.

Many of my classmates would also bully me outside of class. They would shout names at me when I had run-ins with them on the street. There were a few incidents of violence as well.
