I rarely get smiled at, or even looked at, but I've noticed that when it does happen, I get certain types of smiles. I am NOT including the wide, fake grins cashiers or servers often give, as I am aware that those smiles are forced.
The smiles I get are exemplified by the gifs below:

Today for example, I was in a moderately crowded public area, sitting minding my own business, looking at my phone, and as I casually look up, I catch a slightly chubby, 30-something Indian lady dart her eyes away immediately after we make eye contact, and she followed this by a very faint, crooked smile. It was very hard to find an exact example
I was wondering if any of you guys receive these awkward smiles (if/when you get smiled at of course)
