Ever since I was a kid most of the time when I talk I either get ignored or people just cant seem to understand what im saying well. Which leads to have to repeat myself many times. It got even worse of lately while playing at game shop I remember how frequent I seems to be that people seem to either not hear me or ignore me. Even with my own parents seem to have the same proble with me. Im pretty certain I talk normally and in enough volume, but fuck it seems that the a lot of the times I talk I just get ignored or people cant understand my words well.

Yes, I am the exact same at work, I'll often have to repeat myself many times, although I think I talk quietly, slur my words and mutter a fair bit.

I also am poor at understanding others and will sometimes ask them to repeat what they said even if I heard their words clearly (it takes a while for me to process what they say oftentimes).

Same except slurring of the words. Especially with the understanding others words my hearing is also becoming awful.

I'm always left out and ignored.

My hearing's fine, I'm just a bit slow socially I think.

Happens to me a lot. I talk rather softly and I think I have poor diction.

That, and people have a tendency to just talk over me in group settings. I don’t know why I even bother :feelskek:

Same, I think its societies way of telling us that we're inferior in every conceivable way.

I have the same problem. People ignore me often and talk over me a lot.

Yup, feels like talking to doors, then they would just change the topic while I am still talking.

fucking shit I had something similar in college.

People only listen when they like the speaker.

I remember trying to gets someone's attention they seem to not hear me, and another person has to call out to them that im talking to them. I literally saw their face showing actually fukin annoyance or anger I cant tell so I just said something and leave to no bother them any further. That damn expression was so clear even I could figure out the meaning.

People are biased, their biases pertain to looks and status. So trying to have a meaningful conversation with someone IRL (or even normies on the internet) is pointless. It is best to be in a circle of like minded people, that sounds like an echo chamber and to some extent it is, however it better that than trying to explain something to someone who doesn’t want to hear you.

It was at a gaming center everyone there was playing yu-gi-oh.

Same. My coworkers have always treated me like I'm retarded and subhuman.

I have a deep voice which creates the same problem

That happens to me too; they tell me to repeat what I just said. I think I say it too fast. Of course, they'd never tell Chad to repeat what he says.

Others don't make effort in hear us. It's to call you retard later.

I don't speak clearly enough.

I'm a mumbler

It's an autism thing. I just want total access to society's database of opinions and worldviews.

I think they intentionally ignore me, and don't care what I have to say. I have to be wrong, because I'm a genetic freak. I've noticed it again with my new coworkers: if they do behavior A, it's normal and healthy. If I do behavior A, I'm low self-esteem, and something's wrong with me. I'm getting tired of the double standards, and I'm tired of pretending they're not.

Your too ugly for people to care about what you have to say, this has happened to me all the time, nobody gave as shit what I had to say when i was younger so I just stopped speaking all together.

Often when I reply to something in a group conversation during an appropriate lull, I immediately get talked over by the recipient or someone else. I don't think I'm socially retarded and missing the right timing, or not loud enough, the group hears me but just carries on and ignores me. It happens so often. And I am so sensitive to it, yet I never see anyone else have it happen to them. I'm a freak. :feelsrope:

One of the reason why I stopped talking

your pretty much the one guy that no one really enjoys talking to so they just ignore you. Happens to me if im ever in a group and my conversations are akward which are almost always the people there will soon ignore me to not have a convo.

I have a weak autist voice so I can't get involved in loud group conversations that normies have. They like to shout over eachother. I have often wondered if I have a vocal disorder.

“what is he even saying”

I personally found that if you aren't droning on about retarded sportsball drivel or personal drama then most normies don't want to hear what you have to say because those are the only two things in the world the imbeciles can understand.

They do it on purpose btw
