The feds don't have global reach over the entirety of the internet especially since this site is hosted in some random ass server's in iceland.

SS is kinda a gray area like discussing suicide or providing information is protected under 1st amendment so it’s kinda a complicated issue as to where if someone on here says “ oh lookie me I go ER at mall in NYC I hate foids” *inserts a photo of weapon of choice to ER* or spams naked kids constantly I’m pretty sure many people would want this forum taken down and so would the government as well

Mate, 8chan got taken down cause of Brenton Tarrant not El paso (although it was probably both) and secondly it was the provider of the domain who pulled the plug on the service whom I believed was cloudflare who ran it's servers, after they faced backlash for allowing 8chan to still run after public pressure to do so.
8chan then went on Tor since Tor services are self hosted you don't need a DNS provider, you're just given a very long onion address that people can access your service from.
After a while 8chan did rebrand as 8kun and still runs today although at a much smaller scale and size, requiring registration to post media and such.
P.S. Tor is ran by the tor foundation a non-profit, and while yes the US Government did make Tor (Mainly the US Navy as a way to securely communicate), it's network is Global and spans across many different jurisdictions, with it's protocol being very good at making you anonymous from the Alphabet Boys. You might think they might put a backdoor but since Tor is fully open source and is basically scrutinized constantly by security researchers for vulnerabilities its very very unlikely there is one.

If I’m not mistaken when the New Zealand government told this forum to take down the Christchurch shooting videos they (mods)mentioned this forum was hosted in the USA not Iceland then again europol would take over and cooperate with FBI plus this forum would be subpoenaed to provide info to whoever the user that decided to go ER (ie his information like gmail and ip address) if multiple ERs get credited to this forum and if the government has enough evidence that this forum is a breeding ground for incitement to violence they’ll get a court order to shut it down and if this weren’t the case negative media attention and constant ddos attacks would be happening constantly atleast that is my theory and depending how @Master woild handle the negative media attention as well
